haven't heard of A Degre of Murder before but knew about the others. will check it out! also, it is slightly disheartening that he married Margaret, but if he's happy it's alright :) The relationship is obviously not a sexual one; as even when Jack was doing straight porn he had to have a guy around to get him up.
