Optional fraternization assignment

mv's last post gave me an idea. Below are links to the blogs of people who've posted comments on this blog in the recent past. (I missed some because I couldn't find/remember the addresses, sorry.) Pick one (or more) you've never visited before, spend the time there today that you would have spent here, and leave some kind of post/comment (if it allows) showing you were there. (If the blog doesn't take comments, go ahead and leave one for the appropriate proprieter here.) I'll do the same. If you're a non-poster or lurker, just enjoy the newness. I'll be back in your faces tomorrow.

sypha 69, I enjoyed the 'Borderline' post on your blog - yes, I enjoy other people's misery and confusion(!) - and since it wouldn't let me post there, I'll post here. Feel free to ignore the following opinion, cos it's just mine and has no more or less value than anyone else's:)

All this BPD stuff seems so unfair to me, cos it's based on the concept that there is some 'norm' and if we deviate at all, in 'happiness' quotient, there's something wrong with us.

There's not. The world is a depressing, overwhelming place at times and other people are mostly impossible to relate to. You have correctly identified this - ie, you have seen through the veil and you know the truth.

What will you do with that truth? Because there are still small moments of soul-bursting joy to experience, you know there are.

Like that bit in the Banshees' 'Premature Burial' near the end where it all just sort of roars and her voice soars over the top of it.

Thanks jax... Yeah, I've been depressed lately. Anyone who reads my journal can plainly see that I'm a bit of a hypochondriac and a depressive, and lately my lack of a clear identity or belief system has been giving me problems. I've never really felt fully formed, but I guess there are worse ways to go through life (and "Premature Burial" is a great song).

Actually, that reminds me, I've posted almost nothing in my blogger blog, but I suppose I must have put a link up there to my livejournal if you read my BPD post (Livejournal is where I usually post).

totally awesome to read everyone's blogs. i've already most of the regulars, but somehow missed cyclolo's, which rocks (though it's about time for you to post again! (garrison, you too)). also, jack's doesn't allow comments, but sir, you are wicked funny. "I GET SO INSECURE ABOUT MY SOCKS SOMETIMES." Baby, I know what you mean.

Thanks TK!

I have another blog called gaypornblog.com. It's a paid gig for a very different kind of audience.

Holy crap, Jack's other blog is also awesome, and is exactly what it sounds like, but also, you know, droll and shit. Seriously though, be sure to read Jack's blog that Dennis linked to -- don't miss the entry on bacon.

according to Jack's porn blog he writes scripts for porn, and has won prizes for it. This is a big coincidence, because I was just thinking of my own porn movie script during class today.

MY OWN PORN MOVIE SCRIPT

beside the framework of a half-built house, a contractor is langorously applying a belt sander to a piece of wood. a kid rides up on a skateboard.

kid: inaudible.
kid: inaudible.

contractor turns off the belt sander, and looks appreciatively at the boy.

contractor: what did you say?

kid: i was saying that i bet that belt sander takes some awful big batteries.

contractor strokes his own crotch, and looks appreciatively at the bulge in the boys shorts.

contractor: it doesn't take batteries. it plugs in.

kid pulls a gun from his shorts, puts a bullet in the contractor's neck, then jerks off over his burbling corpse.

THE END!

TEENAGE KICKS:

Totally wish I had something more to post. My life has been OBSCENELY CHAOTIC lately. Working lots of overtime just to stay afloat. Little time for writing, but there are two things in the pipeline. Thanks for your interest and I'll see what I can do.

As for DENNIS'S picks, yeah these blogs are great. Everyone should check them out. Talented people on here...
